THE DANDELION FESTIVAL'S ORIGINS
The Dandelion Festival began in 1984 as a 'spoof' of Tulip Time, to put Borculo on the map, and to bring people together. Over the years, tour buses incorporated this event as they flocked to the area and the event was even covered on the national news! And then, in 2020, it came to a halt. Years passed without an event, even as the community expressed a longing to gather again.

So a new committee was born! And in 2024, the Dandelion Festival was revived with great success, with a mission to connect neighbors and friends while celebrating the past, present, and future of the community. On the first Saturday of May, we provide a FREE event for our community where we can come together and truly feel connected to the place we call home. We hope you'll join to celebrate, get connected, and make this a part of your traditions!
