Participants are invited to follow clues that lead to a hidden golden dandelion!
Long ago, Borculo was just fields and a few neighbors relying on one another. They built homes, a school, a church, and gathering places - not just with wood and nails, but with trust and friendship. Each generation has added new families, traditions, and dreams while honoring what came before. Now it’s your turn to explore some Borculo history. Get outside and explore Borculo in a new way with the Golden Dandelion Scavenger Hunt! As you search, think about the people who built this community, the connections that hold us together, and the role you play in shaping Borculo’s story!
How it Works
The scavenger hunt runs from April 13 through May 2.

Clues for the Golden Dandelion Scavenger Hunt:
Dandelion #2:
Dandelion #2: Clue #1: A blaze once came, but courage stayed
Dandelion #2: Clue #2: Place where courage and community meet
Dandelion #1: WE HAVE A WINNER!
The Dandelion has been found in the Cemetery near the marker of Jan Garrits Lindenschot, the first to be buried in the cemetery. Jan represents the very beginning of this community’s story. His marker reminds us of the early settlers whose faith, courage, and hard work helped plant the roots of the town we know today. Though many followed after him, his place remains a quiet symbol of where Borculo’s story first took hold.
Dandelion #1:Clue #1: The garden grew, but I was seed, the first to fill this quiet need. Look not for new, nor polished art, but where the story found its start.
Dandelion #1:Club #2: The eldest whisper of this silent garden holds your answer.
